Tylonn J. Sawyer is a Detroit-based figurative artist and educator whose work centers around themes of individual and collective identity, race, history, and pop culture. His drawings and paintings have been included in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States and abroad. Sawyer holds a BFA in drawing and painting from Eastern Michigan University and an MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art: Graduate School of Figurative Art.
